people: Tasmania’s best known landscape painter Geoff Dyer paints one portrait a year for the Archibald Prize. He has been a finalist nine times and won the award in 2003 with an expressive painting of Tasmania author Richard Flanagan. As Geoff himself might put it, “not bad for an old forward flanker.”
